Here's the beginning of the Spring story

Yesterday

Randy Meyers felt bile slowly working its way up his throat. He rubbed crust from his red, puffy eyes and stumbled toward the king size bed, his blurry vision nearly causing him to fall down on the thick, white carpet. She was dead. The girl Randy picked up last night was dead in his hotel room. In Africa.

Randy’s thoughts raced, his brain trying to process the surreal scene in front of him. Large African masks hung on two walls, the four-foot long faces sporting empty eyes that seemed accusatory. Red blackout curtains pulled slightly open allowed him to see enough of the once-pristine, plush room; that was way too much blood on the crisp white sheets for anyone to still be alive.

He froze in place, just staring. The gravity of the situation locked Randy’s brain momentarily: what would happen when his wife found out? And the Army? Oh, Randy thought, he was screwed royally.

Sponsor Trials, a story in this anthology, sets up a prison system with corporate ties that allows prisoners to volunteer to be a part of very dangerous testing trials. If they survive, they could get released from prison.

I've got a new story in this collection. A Witch's Killer is not about witches at all! She was the worst boss and she turns up dead on Halloween. Who killed her? There are plenty of suspects to choose from, but you'll have to read it to find out!
